Advantages of ISA for Physiotherapists & Ergotherapists

Like all other stakeholders around the patient, physiotherapists and ergotherapists need to rely on tangible data to define their care plans.
In addition to reporting falls as soon as they occur, ISA sensors always record 2 minutes before and after a fall. Thus, thanks to the analysis of these video sequences with regard to the patient’s situation, simple and very targeted actions can be initiated.
Preventing falls and minimizing their consequences improves quality of life
The documentation produced by ISA helps guide physiotherapy or ergotherapy exercises.
The goal of rehabilitation is then to regain part of their ability to mobilize in a process of empowerment. One can, in revalidation, imagine that the patient who returns bedridden can ultimately be put back on his feet in complete safety.
As part of a comprehensive fall prevention policy, physiotherapists can assess physical limitations and support people in maintaining their abilities.
Likewise, ergotherapists assess and discover working together with the patients the means to adapt their environment in order to maintain their autonomy.

Guide the revalidation of patients to limit the risk of falls
Thanks to the analysis of the data collected by the ISA system, it is possible to identify the causes of falls and to opt for more appropriate interventions.
When a person falls several times in similar circumstances, taking clothes out of a drawer at the bottom of a cabinet, for example, specific treatment from the ergotherapist could prevent future falls.
Tangible elements to make the right decisions
Did the person fall while walking? By stooping or during a transfer? Was the walking aid positioned correctly?
Has this person shown signs of weakness? If so, at what level? What position did the patient fall into? Which part of the body was impacted by the fall? In what position?
These are all questions that can be answered in the analysis of the sequences produced and that will make it possible to propose solutions, both for care plans and the re-validation of patients.
