Mintt wins Digital Wallonia Startups Award

07 Dec 2021

For the third year in a row, Digital Wallonia presented its Startups Awards during the SHAKE Digital Wallonia week on LN24. The trophies rewarded 3 Walloon startups that particularly distinguished themselves in 2020.

Among the 3 winning startups, Mintt won the Acceleration Startup Award thanks to the development of the ISA (Intelligent Sensing for Ageing) solution. A system that analyses and prevents falls of elderly people in hospitals and nursing homes.

Mintt wins Acceleration Startup Award with ISA

ISA is an autonomous solution that is not worn by the resident and is non-intrusive. It can detect all types of falls by adapting to the configuration of the room.

ISA puts artificial intelligence at the service of care staff by helping them in their missions with patients. This system improves the quality of life for all. A mission whose relevance has increased following the Covid19 crisis.

How does it work?

ISA is equipped with algorithms for analysing patient behaviour through motion tracking. Artificial intelligence can then be used to anticipate falls, using connected 3D sensors installed in the rooms and other places to be monitored.

What charmed the jury selected by Digital Wallonia

The jury, which included AWEX, IDELUX, BEP, AdN and W.IN.G., was convinced by our cutting-edge artificial intelligence technologies and our knowledge of the fall problem, which represent a unique know-how and a strong connection with the research sector.

The jury also noted MintT's fundraising of €1.375 million in 2020 to expand its acceleration.

The growth potential is unlimited as it corresponds to needs all over the world. Walloon know-how therefore has a bright future.
