After equipping the first care home in Flanders, Hof ten Doenberghe, Mintt appears in Het Nieuwsblad. The residential care centre was looking for a way to solve the issue of falls and found the ideal tool to do so with Mintt.

"After a long search, the residential care home finally chose the digital fall detection system from Mintt. "

“The residential care centre started looking for possible tools over the past few years. After a long search, the residential care home finally chose the digital fall detection system from Mintt. "We have already set up a few projects in Brussels and Wallonia, but this is the first residential care centre in Flanders where our system is really being used," says CEO Eric Krzeslo. "It is therefore very important for us, and we are proud that we can help the staff and residents”

The rooms are equipped with 3D sensors that can detect a fall via infrared. The residents are thus not filmed with a camera, which therefore does not violate privacy laws, according to the residential care centre. "We installed the fall detectors in all 94 rooms, but it was not activated in everyone’s" Vanderlinden continued. "There are 20 sensors currently working. The care team made an analysis of each resident's fall risk. If there is an increased risk of falls, a decision is made to activate the system. When a resident falls to the floor, an alarm goes off on the care workers' mobile phone, informing them immediately of the fall. This allows them to make their way to the room faster. So it is an added value for both the residents and our staff."
